PowerSchool Admin:  How to create a new section

How to create a section for a course.

Make sure you are logged in to your school.

  1. Click on School under Setup
  2. Select Sections link under Scheduling (scroll all the way to the bottom)
  3. Enter Course number that needs new section to filter the list of courses in the left navigation section
  4. Once you have the proper course selected, click on the New button

5. Select proper period when the class meets

6. Select Proper Term for your new section, add Room #, Section Number, Grade Level, Maximum Enrollment, and click on the Submit button at the bottom of this page

7. Your newly created section will appear on the list of sections.

8. If you need to modify the section, click on the section # to edit your section.
