PowerSchool: Checking Out a Student Chromebook

To checkout a Chromebook to a student follow the instructions below.

  • Login to PowerSchool EUI (Admin) or PowerSchool (Admin).
  • Search or browse to locate the student and select his/her account.

  • Locate the Service Tag number of the Chromebook, which you can find on a sticker on the bottom of the device.

  • If you are using the newer, PowerSchool (Admin) EUI version, continue with the Checking out a Chromebook in the PowerSchool (Admin) EUI section, below, and then skip the following section (Checking out a Chromebook in the (old, non-EUI) PowerSchool (Admin)).
  • If you are using the older, PowerSchool (Admin) non-EUI version, skip down to the Checking out a Chromebook in the (old, non-EUI) PowerSchool (Admin) section.

Checking out a Chromebook in the PowerSchool (Admin) EUI:

  • Click Courses and Programs > Asset Tracking in the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

Checking out a Chromebook in the (old, non-EUI) PowerSchool (Admin):

  • Click the Asset Tracking link (under Administration) in the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

•   On the following screen, click the Check In/Out button.

•    In the Assets window that opens, enter the Service Tag number of the device into the Inventory Tags field and click the Find Assets button.

  • In the Checking Out section that appears, click the Condition When Issued drop-down menu, to note the condition of the device when checked out, enter a message in the Check Out Note field if needed, and then click the Check Out button.
